GENERAL INFORMATION

OVERVIEW: This project was born of a dream to create a space that paid homage to the mayan culture and broke from the trend that permeates Tulum of cluttered, invasive urban development. The aim with this project is to leave a maximum amount of greenery untouched in order to provide residents with the ultimate amenity: Nature.

LOCATION: Region 15 - Tulum - Quintana Roo - Mexico.

DEVELOPMENT STATUS: Under construction.

SUSTAINABILITY

* Strict low density construction practices / preservation of native vegetation (I.E., Maximum 12-15 houses per hectare) .

* More than 70% of the land being preserved.

* Use of Eco-Friendly building materials.

* Maximize use of local building materials and set limits on distance of freighted materials.

* Installation of water treatment plants.

* Efficient use of walls and windows to lower indoor temperature and minimize energy consumption.

* Strict waste management protocols and monitoring of residual water treatment.

* Central arboretum functioning as a multi-purpose domain that will leave a sense of community into the environment. Here, a curated program of unfixed amenities and experiences such as Yoga, meditations, communal dinners, bonfire sitting areas, among others, will allow residents to establish connections and promote mindfulness.
